The Best Products Designed with Safety in Mind
Backed by 30 years of product design and development experience, we engineer important safety features
into every K40 product.

Here are some tips on how to use a few of these features:
- Be alerted when nearing schools, parks or other areas with children – Using GPS technology, The new K40 radar detectors, (RL100, RL200 and RL360) feature a “Mark to Alert” function, which allows your K40 radar detector to remember specific locations that you identify. If you drive within 1500 feet of a location you’ve previously marked, you will receive an audio and/or visual alert. This is a useful reminder to slow down around schools, playgrounds, or other areas with children.
- Remind yourself of construction zones, areas with potholes, or other hazards – By using the same “Mark to Alert” function, you can receive an alert when nearing an area with construction zone debris, a stretch of road littered with potholes, an uneven railway crossing, or any other area that requires cautious driving.
- Helps prevent you from driving too fast – even when no police are present – Ever end up with an accidental lead foot? It’s easy to take your eyes off the speedometer and drive faster than you intend. But with K40’s “Speed Monitor” function, you can preset a selected speed and receive an audible and visual alert whenever you exceed that speed, warning you to "slow down".
- Enjoy more peace of mind when your teenager has the car -- The “Speed Monitor” function is also useful in helping ensure your child doesn’t abuse his or her driving privileges. For example, you can preset your K40 RL Series radar detector to signal alerts every time the vehicle goes over a preset speed.
