Giving Back: A Big Part of Our K40 Culture
When K40 opened its doors three decades ago, we hired people we knew from the community and people we believed would make great co-workers. And, together, we’ve built a rock-solid company. Many of our employees have been with the company for 25 years or more. And we make it a point to share with the community. We believe it is our philosophy of "giving" that has kept us going in this niche industry when others have failed.
Our employees are active all over the community, working with local organizations to help make our corner of the world a better place. We give more than money, we give our time, we give our support, we become actively involved in many community organizations and events.

One of our favorites is the Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township, Illinois. An amazing small group of people making big differences in the lives of children in our community. We are honored to be involved with the club and the kids.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township
Each year, a portion of our sales and an even larger portion of our time, is donated to numerous local and national charities. We hold a meeting each year with our employees to determine our "giving strategy" for the upcoming year. As you can imagine, this is an inspiring meeting.
A number of years ago, we became aware of our local Boys and Girls Club. We recognized the incredible work that a small group of people are accomplishing as well as the amazing impact they are having on whole communities of families and children. And we wanted in on it! Through board membership, committee involvement, fundraising events, and volunteering with the kids, we became even more committed to making a difference in the lives of children.
With every purchase of a K40 product, you are helping to provide a safe place for kids to go after school as well as progams, food and activities that would otherwise not be available to some of the disadvantaged youths our clubs serve.
For that, we acknowledge and thank you. It's important for you to know that you are a big part of the partnership. We accept this honor and recognition on behalf of every employee and customer who are part of the K40 family.

First Downs for Down Syndrome.
First Downs for Down Syndrome (FDFDS) is a 501(c)3 organization that teams with the Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Line to raise money for Down Syndrome organizations, raise awareness of Down Syndrome and to create positive images of those with Down Syndrome.
FDFDS is supported solely through tax deductible contributions and participating in special events and fundraisers throughout the year.
